On your wedding day you want to look amazing with all the guests, family and friends seeing you getting married to the person you want to spend the rest of your life with its no wonder, but choosing that perfect dress isn't as easy as it may first seem. Many people think they will just choose a white fitted dress but there are so many now out there that all look different on different people so finding the one that is perfect for you is more of a challenge than ever. It is often easier for the groom to decide on his attire as he simply needs to ensure his outfit ties in with the rest of the wedding party and is smart.
For those brides that are struggling to decide on their dress here are some tips that can help you decide which type of dress would be the best one for you;
- Initial decisions - This is when you will need to make decisions such as whether you want your dress to match the theme of the wedding or if you want to go for what you want deep down. For example just because you have your wedding in a registry office doesn't mean that you can't have the extravagant dress you have always dreamed of and just the same in the case if you have booked somewhere extremely high class doesn't mean you have to have the over the top wedding dress if that's not what you would feel comfortable. This is because you may well want to wow everyone with your appearance but you won't feel confident in a dress you don't feel comfortable in and this will be portrayed in your appearance.
- What colour it should be - This depends on what kind of style or theme you are having for your wedding because if you have a set theme then you may want to incorporate this into the design of your dress. The colour of your wedding dress being white as a tradition is actually a fairly recent one so although many women choose white as their wedding dress colour it is becoming more popular for brides to choose more colourful designs and many are choosing colours that complement them well as there are not many women that suit just plain white.
What fabric should you choose - There are different things you need to think about when choosing the fabrics for your wedding dress, for example what time of year is it that you are getting married. This makes a big difference because if you are getting in the height of summer you may want to opt for a lighter fabric such as chiffon as a pose to the thicker materials like cotton. This also affects the material you could have as your accessories for example if you were having your wedding in the middle of winter you could have accessories such as faux fur shawls but this kind of attire would not really be sensible for a wedding in the height of summer.
There are obviously many other factors that will affect your final choice of dress but once you have these decisions made it should be a lot easier for you to confidently make this decision.
