Wedding days are one of the most important to many people so making sure you have everything exactly the way you want it is very important, a major factor in how you remember your day can be from the music that was played and this is not only at the reception but also during the service as well. Some times it can be very difficult to choose the music for during the ceremony and also the type of music that will be played at your reception as well.
Below are some tips you can follow helping you to choose the right music for your ceremony and your reception;
- Music for the ceremony - There is becoming more variety than ever in the kind of music that people have during their ceremony varying between a choir singing (so having a traditional feel), the guests singing hymns, having a classical orchestra play or an alternative that is personal to them such as their friend's band etc. There are of course traditional hymns that are sang at weddings but with people introducing more of their personality to their wedding celebrations more all the time it is drastically changing. So the choice between what style of music is entirely dependant on the kind of feel you want for your celebrations, for example if you wanted a more classical feel you could have the choir or the orchestra where as if you wanted it to have more of your personality involved you could have your favourite song played through a sound system or by a band.
Music for the reception - When it comes to the music for your reception it is less formal so is entirely personal preference. To decide what type of music you should have you should sit as a couple and discuss ideas about the types of music you both like. You may have various ideas such as a band or a DJ that will play music for the whole evening both playing music style of your choice. It may be that you have a certain era of music that you both like such as the 50's, if so then you could have the band or DJ play music from this era for the evening.
There are of course plenty more options available for the music played at your wedding both at the ceremony and the reception but all you really have to think about is what you both want from the music on your day.
